COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (SCBFD) - Peak Innovation Park is on track to become one of Colorado’s largest employment centers, Director of Development Troy Stover says.

At 1,600 acres, the business park adjacent to the Colorado Springs Airport is bigger than the 1,200-acre Denver Tech Center — and a recent land acquisition to the east of the airport adds 562 acres. Negotiations with local, national, and international companies interested in buying or leasing space are ongoing, Stover says.

“At full buildout, Peak Innovation Park is planned to employ roughly 35,000 to 40,000 people,” he says.

The airport itself is undergoing a four-year $38 million modernization that will update the concourse’s aging infrastructure, add new food and beverage outlets, and increase the terminal’s sustainability and accessibility, COS Director of Aviation Greg Phillips says.

Enplanements have grown annually since 2022′s 20-year high, and, he says, “2024 is going to be even better.”
